Dr. Rohit Uppal

LARRI is pleased to announce our latest team member Dr. Rohit Uppal. Dr. Uppal received his M.Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), New Delhi, India, and Ph.D. from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas. His doctoral dissertation was primarily focused on multidisciplinary translational research to produce, characterize, and study the in-vivo behavior of a novel biomimetic biopolymeric conformable nanofiber wound dressing to aid scar less skin regeneration. As a Postdoctoral Research Associate, he conducted multidisciplinary research to design, develop, and fabricate advanced nanocomposite polymeric flexible scintillation detectors for radiation detection. Currently, he is working on a research project to develop soft, reconfigurable, and anisotropic joints to demonstrate the potential of soft curved reconfigurable anisotropic mechanisms for multifunctional soft robots. We are excited to have Rohit and all his experience join us.
