PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Gluconfidence is on a mission to reduce the daily burden of people with Diabetes, improve outcomes, and reduce costs to the health care system. To deliver this mission, Gluconfidence is combining the use of Continuous Glucose Monitors ( CGMs) with an application to identify severe hypoglycemic episodes and then personalizes and optimize a monthly order of healthy, low calorie, all natural liquid glucose supplements, that are delivered direct to your door every month. The service displays Blood Glucose responses to various activities to drive behavior change, and reduce insulin usage among people with Diabetes.
BENEFITS TO PROJECT CLIENT
Create an application that seamlessly ties into patient Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) API to track Blood Glucose trends, and creates optimized, personalized ordering of healthy glucose supplements
Leverage Design Thinking to create simple, engaging user interface with metrics that drive behavior change for people with diabetes
Reduce the daily burden of diabetes by linking App to Shopify store so that “your body creates the optimal order quantity, not your brain”

Created the initial foundation and architecture that will be added to over time.
They learned a new programming language and were able to implement it into the projecr.
PROJECT GOAL
The main goal was to get a working prototype to share with initial beta users and get feedback. Also known as a MVP, Minimum Viable Product. In creating software it is best to build an MVP to test with users and get feedback on what they like and do not like.

The Airport Concierge Project is about making life easier when at the CVG International Airport. A small assistant called a Segway Loomo Robot will soon be able to provide basic concierge needs, such as flight information, translation between languages, and even the ability to carry luggage to a terminal to lift some literal weight off passengers.
BENEFITS TO PROJECT CLIENT
PROJECT GOAL
Our team has the goal of figuring out how to program the Segway Loomo Robot, and begin programming a translation feature. The CVG Airport has a large amount of French people come in and out of their terminals and would make life easier to have a translator available on command without pulling out your phone.

The drone swarm project is an ongoing capstone project that has been in the works for a few years now. The goal is to control a drone swarm and decentralize the decision making of that swarm. Essentially, the project is creating an algorithm to control the swarm autonomously.
BENEFITS TO PROJECT CLIENT
PROJECT GOAL
This project’s main goal is to develop an algorithm to control a drone swarm as they work to achieve an overarching goal. Our group’s primary goal this semester is to get at least one drone flying on autopilot to designated waypoints.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We created an IOS and Android app that aids students in finding a sublease or find students to take their sublease. Within our app, students can search for sublets they want and filter by amenities, preferences, dates, etc. We also offer users the option of saving sublets that they like. Users can contact a sublet’s owner through email once they find a sublet they like. Additionally, users can post their sublets to the University they are associated with. Once a user posts a sublet, they will be able to edit and change if needed.
BENEFITS TO PROJECT CLIENT
The app will be solely accessible to students. Currently, universities offer “Facebook groups” to help their students find housing. Unfortunately, a group with so many students can often become disorganized. There is no way to search through properties or to see if a property is still available. There is no standard for what information is placed in a post; some posts could include pictures but no mention of neighborhood while others include detailed rent information but do not list roommate genders. Our app would fix these issues and make the housing transition as easy as possible.
PROJECT GOAL
One of the main issues University of Louisville students have when renting a home or apartment that is off campus is that they will often want to sublease their apartment for a part of the year. This issue is exacerbated by many engineering students that leave university to go on co op, study abroad students, or engineers in the global engineering track. On the other side of things, there are many students that do not want to sign a full lease, but end up doing so anyway because they do not know where they can sublease. This is a unique situation that college students often find themselves in that makes an already stressful process that much harder.
