Guild for Engineering Education, Achievement, Retention & Success

GEARS is a cross-functional group of faculty, researchers and students from brain sciences, education and engineering.

What unites the team is a desire to help improve student learning, particularly for engineering students. Each team member’s subject matter expertise uniquely contributes to the team’s mission. The diverse members of the team have expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodology, and have experience in both academia and industry. The group was founded in 2012 and is housed in the Engineering Fundamentals Department at J.B. Speed School of Engineering. For more information, please contact Dr. Patricia Ralston.
