Bassel R. Arafeh received the B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1974; and the M.E. degree in Electrical Engineering and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Texas A & M University, College Station, Texas in 1980 and 1986, respectively. Dr. Arafeh is currently an associate professor (term) in the Department of Computer Engineering and Computer Science, University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky, USA. His research interests include wireless ad hoc and sensor networks, and parallel and distributed computing systems. He is a member of the ACM, the IEEE and IEEE Computer Society.
