Alison Seward is 2016 Leadership Through Inclusion Award Winner
Alison holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville. In her 15 years with GE Appliances, Alison’s contributions to the business demonstrate her expertise and commitment to quality consumer products.
Alison began her career at GE Appliances in 2001 as a Supply Chain co-op and is a graduate of the Operations Management Leadership Program (OMLP). In her first off-program role, she significantly contributed to five major NPI launches as part of the Cleaning Products New Product Introduction Supplier Quality group. In 2013 she was named Design Manager responsible for the successful launches of the redesigned top freezer refrigerators during the Mission 1 investment.
In her current role as Technology Cost-Out Execution Leader, Alison is responsible for ensuring robust delivery on cost-out financial and strategic metrics. Alison’s collaborative approach to leadership as well as her commitment to technical excellence and customer focus has helped lead to successful outcomes for the business and its customers.
She was recognized for this work as recipient of GE’s 2015 Edison Pioneer award which honors mid-career technologists. She donated her $10,000 grant to the J.B. Speed School of Engineering.
Alison lives in Louisville with her husband and young daughter. She enjoys international travel and is a classically trained ballet dancer.
