Leadership Advantage

WHAT IS LEADERSHIP ADVANTAGE?

Leadership Advantage (LA) is an intensive four-day program designed for incoming freshman majoring in engineering at UofL. Because of the intensity of these fields, the price of success can sometimes be expressed in terms of missed opportunities for traditional leadership and social development. Led by current engineering students, LA allows for students to develop their leadership skills and knowledge about opportunities at UofL before becoming fully engaged in the rigors of college life.

Opportunities to meet future classmates, upperclassmen, faculty, alumni, and professionals
Plant tour
Team design projects
Learning about campus resources and hangouts
And a few surprise activities!!

Thursday – Sunday, August 3 – 6, 2023

WHERE IS LA?

J. B. Speed School of Engineering at the University of Louisville. Lodging accommodations provided by UofL housing. Participants will share rooms.

COST

$100 covers everything – housing, food, and all activities for the program.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible to attend LA, you must fit these requirements:

High school senior (Class of 2023) already accepted into UofL engineering for Fall 2023
Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Participated in extracurricular and/or community activities
