Dr. Faisal Aqlan receives two Best Paper Awards

Dr. Faisal Aqlan has received two Best Paper awards based on his NSF projects. The first paper, titled “Advanced Modeling of Problem-solving Behavior in Virtual Reality Manufacturing Environments,” won the best paper award in the Work Systems and Services Track at IISE Conference. The second paper, titled “A Holistic Design Approach for Integrated Learning in Manufacturing Education,” won the best paper award in the Manufacturing Division at ASEE Conference.

In addition, Dr. Aqlan is serving on the planning committee for the 2022 NSF EEC Grantees. The NSF EEC conference provides a forum for Engineering Education and Centers (EEC) Principal Investigators and team leaders to learn, explore, and share ideas that will promote innovation in engineering education research and practice, with the overall theme of reflecting to re-envision.
