WHAT IS IT?

  • Double-count up to 12 graduate credit hours towards BSIE and Master’s degree
  • Pay undergraduate tuition for double-counted courses while in BSIE
  • Start as early as the Junior year; rolling admission until the final year in BSIE
  • No addition of time to your BSIE degree
  • Non-binding; student decides to continue or not into the Master’s program upon completion of BSIE

WHY SHOULD I DO IT?

  • Finish the Master’s degree within 1 year after BSIE
  • Become eligible for financial support during the Master’s program
  • A Master’s degree may lead to
    • Potential pay increase by $10,000-$20,000 compared to BSIE

AM I ELIGIBLE?

  • Have you completed 60+ credit hours toward the BSIE degree?
  • Have you completed 10+ credit hours in IE courses?
  • Are you currently enrolled in, or have you previously completed IE 360?
  • Do you have a GPA of 3.3 or better?

WHAT ARE MY NEXT STEPS?

  • Meet with SSoE advisor first
  • Meet the MEngEM Program Director or MSIE Program Director
  • Jointly prepare a Plan of Study and identify the double-counted courses
  • Maintain above 3.0 in those double-counted courses while in BSIE
  • Upon completion of BSIE, complete an application through Graduate School for MEIE or MEngEM program
