Engineering Mathematics at the J.B. Speed School

The Speed School of Engineering has a long history of math education for engineering students. Since the founding of the school in 1925, engineering faculty have taught the required mathematics courses for engineering students.

Congratulations!

Your test scores of Math ACT 29+ or SAT 650+ place you into Engineering Analysis I (ENGR-101).  The engineering analysis courses include not only engineering examples but focus on problem solving skills that are required throughout the engineering program. While the primary topics are calculus-based, strong algebra skills are essential for the problem-solving activities in engineering analysis and many other engineering courses.

For this reason we strongly encourage all students to take the Calculus Preview program to reinforce what we know are already good mathematical skills.
