Scholarships and Awards
The Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Department offers its students a variety of Scholarships. Each scholarship has separate requirements and guidelines for students to qualify to apply. Below, you can find details about each of the scholarships offered by the Civil and Environmental Engineering department.

|Kentucky Section American Society of Civil Engineers Scholarship||The Kentucky Section of the American Society of Civil Engineers presents this scholarship to a professional school student or students in Civil Engineering who demonstrate superior service to the student community.||$750 to $1,000||Download Application||March 2nd|
|Hazelet & Erdal||The Hazelet & Erdal consulting firm (now BRW) established an endowment for this scholarship for a student majoring in Civil Engineering. |CEE Undergraduate Recognition Award||This award recognizes the graduating honor student earning the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and takes due consideration of academic excellence, contributions to the department and the school, and potential for future achievement.||Applicant must be a full-time student, and must have been enrolled in the CEE program in the fall and spring the following academic year.||$1,000||Apply Now||March 2nd|

External Scholarship Opportunities
|Kentucky Water Resources Research Institute||The Environmental Protection Scholarship Program is administered through KWRRI and funded by the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection. The objectives of the program are to promote environmental education at the undergraduate and graduate level in the state universities, and to assist the state’s environmental protection agencies in their effort to hire qualified professional staff.||Download Application|
|Kentucky Section Professional Engineers, Louisville Chapter||The Louisville Chapter of the KSPE awards a scholarship to a student who can demonstrate through engineering studies and extra-curricular involvement, that he/she has provided the greatest contribution to the engineering profession while maintaining a commendable GPA.||$1,500||Download Application|
|Society of American Military Engineers||The Kentuckiana Post S.A.M.E. recognizes that some of our most valuable engineering resources of the future are the students of today. Therefore, the Kentuckiana Post will award up to two (2) $4,000 Scholarships in 2015 to students who exemplify the qualities and accomplishments of a promising engineering career. |Kentucky Transportation Cabinet||The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet awards 10-20 new scholarships each year to qualifying students interested in attending the University of Kentucky (UK) or Western Kentucky University (WKU) or University of Louisville (UL) J. Sam Rangaswamy Scholarship by Structural Engineers Association of Kentucky
|The SEAoK is the Structural Engineers Association of Kentucky, a charter member of the National Council of Structural Engineers Association. |Association of State Dam Safety Officials||The ASDSO Scholarship Program, established in 1992, awards annual undergraduate scholarships of up to $10,000 to U.S. citizens enrolled in accredited programs in engineering or related fields and planning careers related to the design, construction, or operation of dams.|
