The Office of Student Success, in the lower level of the J.B. Speed Building, is the academic resource center for all Speed School students. The Office of Student Success is staffed by a team of professional academic counselors who provide assistance in planning programs of study, coordinate registration of courses, assist with navigating the university, and provide guidance and referral services. Once you enter as a freshman, you and your academic counselor will work throughout your career at Speed School. While your academic counselor will make every effort to guide you throughout your education, students are ultimately responsible for developing a familiarity of and adherence to University, college, and departmental policies and procedures.
All students who enter Speed School participate in academic advising each semester with their professional academic counselor in the Office of Student Success – students are able to register for classes each semester upon meeting with their academic advisor. Advising is appointment based, and the Office of Student Success is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
