The Speed School of Engineering is home to the only program in the Commonwealth of Kentucky accredited by ABET in both Computer Engineering and Computer Science—a distinction that reflects our commitment to excellence across the full spectrum of computing. Beyond Computer Science and Computer Engineering, we offer programs and focused areas of study in Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Data Science, preparing students for some of the most exciting and impactful careers of today and tomorrow. Since our department was founded in 1971, we have been at the forefront of innovation in computing education and research. Our faculty are not only leaders in their fields but also deeply committed to student success.
