Alum Sherif Elfayoumy Honored with Professional Award in Computer Science & Engineering

Dr. Sherif Elfayoumy stands as a distinguished figure in the field of Computer Science and Engineering. Serving as the Steel Dynamics Dean of the College of Engineering, Technology, and Computer Science at Purdue University Fort Wayne, he is renowned for his illustrious academic journey. Dr. Elfayoumy holds a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, which he earned from the J.B. Speed School of Engineering. Notably, he was the recipient of the school’s inaugural CSE Doctoral Award in 2000.
With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Elfayoumy’s contributions to the realm of computer science are extensive. His research in artificial intelligence, supercomputing, and health informatics has led to a wealth of scholarly publications, patents, and a substantial sum of federal funding.
