Alyssa Osbourne
Alyssa Osbourne is a rising star in the field of Bioengineering, having graduated from the University of Louisville’s J.B. Speed School of Engineering with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Bioengineering. Her journey has taken her from an entry-level engineer to the Senior Product Engineer at Vivorte Inc., a local orthopedic medical device manufacturer co-founded by Dr. Michael Voor. In this role, she oversees the research, development, manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and commercialization of innovative orthopedic implants. Alyssa is currently focused on obtaining FDA approval and patenting an injectable bioactive bone cement for minimally invasive orthopedic surgery. Her career is a testament to her dedication to advancing the field of Bioengineering.
Outside her professional endeavors, Alyssa is an avid rock climber and, along with her husband, actively participates in community conservation efforts and leads the Co-operative Student Engineering Program at Vivorte, empowering engineering students to gain vital industry experience. Her journey exemplifies a passion for education, innovation, and community engagement, making her a notable figure in the field.
